Hirokazu Nasu

I am a professor in the department of mathematical sciences at Tokai University in Japan.

Research

My field of study is Algebraic Geometry. I study the deformation theory of curves on a given fixed projective algebraic varietry. I am interested in a bad behavior in their deformations, which gives rise to a singularity of the Hilbert scheme.

Career

I completed my Ph.D. at the RIMS, Kyoto University in 2005 under the supervision of Prof. Shigeru Mukai. After the completion of my Ph.D, I spent three years at RIMS and six months in the University of Oslo as a postdoctoral researcher. In Oslo, I have worked on my project as a JSPS-FY2008 fellow with a help of Prof. Kristian Ranestad and Prof. Jan Oddvar Kleppe.
